Cruise Ship Terminal Promised For Koh Samui
During his visit to Koh Samui on April 7th, Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin announced that the Cabinet would approve a 12.172 billion baht cruise terminal project at Laem Hin Khom cape by the end of the year. Planned under a public-private partnership, the terminal is set to be constructed between 2027 and 2029, spanning 47 rai and expected to accommodate 120 cruise ships annually. This influx is anticipated to bring about 180,000 tourists to the island, with each spending an estimated 5,000 baht. The successful bidder will operate the terminal for 30 years, from 2029 to 2059.
